2021: Flow

Header photograph by Jodi Burke.

Partnership is core to how we work and we were delighted to work with established and new partners in 2021, including in Stirling the Tolbooth, Creative Stirling, Scene Stirling, the University of Stirling and The Barracks Conference Centre. In 2021 we continued to build our relationships with Stills and Street Level Photoworks, bringing new artists to exhibit and to talk at our festival. Also, as we embraced the theme of Flow and all that connects us, we partnered with our friends in Inverness at Flow Photofest—jointly exhibiting in both cities the work of Frances Scott and her A9 monograph, and signposting our audiences to each other.

Recording of Frances Scott’s Zoom Talk: The A9, A Lifelong Journey. More recordings of 2021 talks are available on our YouTube Channel.

Thanks to our supporters for 2021, Event Scotland, Scene Stirling, Stirling Council, Tolbooth, The Barracks, Nettl and Creative Stirling.

Instagram Photography Prompts and Competition

Each week leading up to the festival we shared different photography prompts for followers to take part in. These prompts were different each week to inspire followers photography!

Submitted under a variation of #SPFflow21, an image was chosen to get a feature on our socials and was the cover photo on our Facebook for that week. Winners also received a copy of the 2021 poster designed by David Gilliver.

Photograph shown is the entry by @erich.rau for Light Painting.
