The King’s Knot lies in the shadow of Stirling Castle and is the location for our Discovering Landscapes workshop with Sam Mcdiarmid Photography. This evening workshop will give an introduction to landscape photography, with the hope of catching this beautiful spot at sundown. Sam will share his passion for Landscapes with you, discussing equipment and hacks, with a demonstration of techniques that beginners and the experienced can utilise!
Sam is a student photographer, taking a bold step with a change of career to pursue his dream to fund his lifestyle and adventures with his camera. Based on a portfolio of his work, including landscapes, Sam recently won a commission to work with author and poet Alec Finlay on his Day of Access project and together they will speak at a festival event at the University of Stirling on 28th August. Sam is currently studying photography at Forth Valley College in Stirling and this will be his first experience leading a workshop. Read something of Sam’s journey through his Blog
